| Job Details | Our Burnaby area client is a leader in the support and provision of healthcare services to the British Columbia public. The client is seeking an Expert Director – Delivery on a contract basis to support Regional Digital Solutions. Project Description: The Regional Digital Solutions team is responsible for supporting IT system solutions that deliver the safe and consistent patient care across three British Columbia health organizations: Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and Providence Health Care (PHC). As a team, we continually strive to improve patient safety and improve information system reliability and sustainability. Anticipated services include: - Oversees and directs the overall implementation or project delivery of all RDS projects as part of the Program Management & Delivery portfolio across all PHSA, VCH and/or PHC
- Oversight of cross-project delivery timelines and identification of conflicts
- Assistance with the escalation and resolution of critical project issues
- Leads the development, enhancement, and standardization of Project Delivery functional processes, project management standards, quality assurance policies and procedures, and tools and techniques.
- Works to align project delivery methodology with PMO standards, and supports optimization of both teams to unify and standardize project quality and delivery functions across RDS.
- Develops, supports and executes the long term and short term strategy for evolving and transforming business and clinical solutions for PHSA, VCH, and PHC in partnership with solution leaders and health authority partners.
- Oversees and provides work direction and coaching to the Senior Managers/Portfolio Leaders of Project Delivery
- Establishes the key metrics, targets and benchmarks to measure performance across systems, applications, key results areas, and people related to project delivery. Monitors and evaluates performance effectiveness within project delivery and enacts change required for improvement.
- Drives and facilitates multiple layers of the governance structure to ensure alignment with architecture principles and the project delivery framework. Ensures the utilization of constrained resources and capacity to realize value delivery and transformation across the portfolio of projects.
- Plans and executes the project portfolio. Identifies and recommends priorities, critical project issues, and immerging concerns for deep dive or further investigation. Identifies opportunities/options to mitigate risks and concerns and drives to decisions.
- Directs consolidation and rationalization of multiple business and clinical systems across the integrated health enterprise to support improved information sharing and cost effectiveness.
- Directs project managers and their teams to successfully lead and implement change and support adoption of business and clinical solutions.
- Creates and presents useful and easy to understand reporting and presentation materials for executive and senior management on the status of the portfolio of projects.
- Builds, mentors, and coaches strong management teams, project managers, and project resources across the organization.
- Effectively engages health organization and delivery partners at all levels of the customer organization.
