Our Burnaby area client is a leader in the support and provision of healthcare services to the British Columbia public.

The client is seeking a Technical Project Manager on a contract basis to support Regional Digital Solutions activities.

Project Description:

The Regional Digital Solutions team is responsible for supporting IT system solutions that deliver the safe and consistent patient care across three British Columbia health organizations: Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and Providence Health Care (PHC).

Anticipated services include:

Responsible for:

• Project management for technical readiness as requested by RDS Senior Manager, Technical Solutions or PMD Delivery Senior Manager and/or Implementation Project Manager
• Health organization engagement, planning, oversight and milestone/deliverable tracking relative to technical readiness including:
  • Device discovery and assessment activities
  • Device validation & budget activities
  • Device procurement activities
  • Device deployment plan
  • Technical Readiness activation plan requirements

• Alignment with enterprise Devices, Technical Architecture and Integrated Technologies team processes and practices
• Identify opportunities for process optimization to related team managers as appropriate
• Alignment/liaising with PDHIS and specifically CTIS team for network/infrastructure remediation efforts as required
• Alignment/liaising with LMC Biomed assigned resources for BMDI or other integration readiness efforts as required
• Alignment/liaising with site Facilities Management and related facilities operations partners and/or service providers with respect to power infrastructure remediation as required
• Alignment/liaising with other technical teams as required
• Status reporting and alignment to responsible RDS Senior Manager and designated RDS PMD Project Manager

• 10+ years experience in project management related role(s) specifically within Healthcare Information Technology & related systems implementation subject matter
• 10+ years preferable experience with above, preferably working with public healthcare clients, ideally within Canada
• Project Management Professional certification or relevant approved equivalent combination of education and experience
