Our Burnaby area client is a leader in the support and provision of healthcare services to the British Columbia public.

The client is seeking a Test Business Analyst on a contract basis to support Lions Gate Hospital New Paul Myers Tower Project (2022 – 2025).

Project Description:

This is a construction project that will deliver the addition of a new 6-storey Acute Care Facility (ACF) on the Lions Gate Hospital campus with the goal of replacing obsolete facilities and improving inpatient medical, perioperative and support services. The scope of the new ACF includes:

• Replacement of 108 acute medical and surgical inpatient beds on Levels 4 to 6 from the existing Paul Myers South tower.
• Relocation of the existing perioperative areas located on Level 2 of the Norther Expansion building to include 8 new ORs and a new 39-bay Pre-operative and Post-operative care area including anaesthesia intervention and isolation rooms.
• Replacement of the Medical Device Reprocessing Department on Level 3 Mechanical and electrical services required to support the facility at the basement, interstitial and penthouse levels.
• An entry level area that includes a mix of patient care, staff amenities and outpatient care services.
• Additional support services and public amenities, including a roof-top garden on Level 4.
• Vehicular arrival, short-term parking and one-way circulation.
  • Renovation of Surgery Reception and 6 Minor Treatment areas on Level 2 in
• the existing facility.
• Pedestrian circulation between the new and existing facilitates at Levels 0, 1 and 2.

Technical Project Background and Descriptions:

There are a number of new technology projects including 63 Downstream Corner Millennium applications being deployed under the Lions Gate Hospital Acute Care Facility Project. This Test Analyst role will provide support for some of the following Lions Gate Hospital New Paul Myers Tower information technology application projects including, but not exclusive of:

1. Patient Bedside Entertainment System
2. Masimo Patient SafetyNet Vital Signs Monitoring
3. Patient Status Display Panel (RoomLink)

Anticipated services include:

Working under the direction / in collaboration with the Project Manager the Test Analyst’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Managing and developing test plans for each project assigned, identifying tasks, dependencies and participants required to execute the test plan including obtaining analyst, business and other stakeholder inputs and support.
• Ongoing review and readjustment of each technology implementation test plans to accommodate changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
• Develop status reports for the project and provide to management.
• Preparing / updating the metrics dashboard at the end of a testing phase or at the completion of a project.
• Provide artifacts for the projects Steering Committee status reports
• Ensure the coordinated delivery of committed pieces of work within the scheduled time, ensuring the timely delivery of different testing milestones on each of the project.
• Follow the test processes as set out by the organization, ensuring the required test plan, scripts and tools are in place before test execution and ongoing management of test environment and test tools e.g., TestRaiI during test execution and change requests.
• Ensure the coordinated delivery of committed pieces of work within the scheduled time, ensuring the timely delivery of different testing milestones on each of the project, working in collaboration with multiple vendors, internal teams and multiple application streams.
• Ensure test documentation is completed as per standards defined by the organization, ensuring content and structure of all test documentation / artifacts is documented and maintained and meets standards.
• Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test scripts, provide oversight and support to create test artifacts, execute testing and log defects, working closely with the business SME’s and vendors.
• Working with multiple teams to support the development of testing scripts inclusive of the workflows for project-based User Acceptance Testing.
• Documenting, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization, ensuring content and structure of all test documentation / artifacts is documented and maintained and meets standards.
• Updating and maintaining the LGH New PMT consolidated SharePoint issues log for all projects assigned.
• Working with vendors to resolve identified software issues and retesting.
• Keeping track of the new requirements / change in requirements, escalating issues about project requirements (Software, Hardware, Resources) to the Project Manager.
• Support knowledge transfer sessions if required to team members.
• Anticipate possible delays in achieving the overall test schedule, identify issues impeding progress and strive to resolve them.
• Regular meet with project managers to instill confidence about the work being done and to provide escalations.
• Regular meetings with test team to make sure everyone is aware of what other fellow team members are doing.
• Support the preparation of any LGH New PMT & Project based Risk Mitigation plans if in case any delays are foreseen.
• Working knowledge of each project application processes and workflow.
• Need to work cohesively with Project, Business and IMIT teams.

• Work experience with software quality control concepts, defect resolution processes and practices.
• Experience developing project test plans, creating, updating, and reviewing test documentation and artifacts e.g., test cases, scripts etc.
• Demonstrated experience understanding testing effort by analyzing the requirements of project and ability to estimate time, resources and budget required to perform testing.
• Experience using modem Test Tools for the purposes of test case management, requirements, inventory, defect tracking, and results documentation (i.e., TestRail).
• Able to communicate effectively and build relationships with test team members, business analysts, and project managers.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently, analyzing problems and strategizing for better solutions.
• Excellent leadership, team building, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to take ownership and independently drive progress.
• Ability to adapt evolving technology requirements as they are introduced during the project, and applying these into a clinical context to meet user requirements.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, process orientation and attention to
• detail.
• 2+ years of experience with BC Health Authorities & Health Care IT implementations.
• Working knowledge of hospital/clinical systems, care delivery processes, clinical roles, policies, and standards preferably gained in the Health Authority environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clinical and business stakeholders and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Direct experience designing and implementing and supporting testing in a large, complex multi-stakeholder environment.
