Our Burnaby area client is a leader in the support and provision of healthcare services to the British Columbia public.

The client is seeking a Network Team Lead on a contract basis to support Technology and Project Services activities.

Project Description:

Network Services will be moving to a new delivery model and will require a Network team Lead to oversee the Technical Project Delivery.

Anticipated services include:

Working with the Delivery Capacity Manager, project teams and Network team leadership, manage the project delivery team responsible for the delivery of Network Projects

• Guide the detailing of high level network designs into deployable solutions
• Lead the Technical Network engagement with the business to develop solutions and recommendations
• Oversee project network engineers who install, commission, test and accept new deployment activities on projects.
• Oversee network documentation, ensure proper updating and maintaining network drawings and plans, and generate Bill of Materials to support/manage appropriate equipment procurement.
• Lead Network Capacity Management to assess project and resourcing risks and mitigations.

• A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Degree in Computer Science, 10 years of progressively more responsible positions.
• Proven Experience managing Network teams in an enterprise environment
• Proven Experience developing Network designs and documentation
• Expert knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and software – Cisco CCNP or equivalent – with a minimum 10 years’ experience with design and deployment of enterprise networks in mission-critical, 7×24 production environments
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner with the ability to empower staff in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to liaise and interact with all levels of the organization
