| Job Details | Our Burnaby area client is a leader in the support and provision of healthcare services to the British Columbia public. The client is seeking a Lead Program Manager – Digital Workplace on a contract basis to support Digital Workplace Services Transformation Program.
Project Description: The objective of the Digital Workplace Services Transformation Program is to establish the future sourcing, commercial, and service delivery model for workplace technology services across British Columbia’s health sector following the expiry of the current Workplace Evolving Services and Technologies (WEST) agreement in 2028/2029. The Alliance Office has been mandated to lead the strategic assessment, procurement planning, service transition planning, and implementation readiness activities required to enable the next generation of Digital Workplace Services. The future-state model will introduce a modular, outcomes-based service architecture that enhances accountability, service performance, innovation, financial transparency, and alignment with clinical and operational priorities across the provincial health system. The Alliance Office requires the services of a senior Lead Program Manager with extensive experience leading large-scale technology transformation, sourcing, transition, and service modernization initiatives. The Lead Program Manager will be responsible for developing and managing integrated program roadmaps, implementation plans, governance frameworks, transition strategies, and executive reporting processes. Working closely with Health Authority executives, provincial stakeholders, procurement specialists, service architects, vendors, and operational leaders, the consultant will coordinate program activities, manage dependencies and risks, support executive decision-making through the Procurement Executive Steering Committee (PESC), and ensure successful delivery of procurement, transition, and implementation objectives. The Lead Program Manager will be supported by the Alliance Office Procurement Delivery Team and will work collaboratively with clinical, operational, technical, financial, procurement, and executive stakeholders across British Columbia’s health authorities to ensure the successful transition to a future-state Digital Workplace Services model that delivers long-term value, operational stability, service excellence, and improved support for healthcare delivery.
Anticipated services include: Position Overview The Lead Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing complex initiatives that support the evolution of the next-generation Digital Workplace Solutions model across public healthcare facilities in British Columbia. Replacing the current Workplace Evolving Services and Technologies (WEST) agreement, this role is critical to bridging strategy and execution, ensuring that approved changes are successfully implemented and deliver intended organizational, operational, and service outcomes while maintaining continuity of service. The Lead Program Manager will operate within the Alliance Office’s Procurement Delivery Team and provide direct strategic and tactical support to the Procurement Executive Steering Committee (PESC). Key Responsibilities 1. Program Planning & Roadmap Management Establishes a clear path from strategy to implementation.
2. Transition Planning & Execution Enables the successful implementation of future-state services and accountability models.
3. Program Integration & Coordination Align workstreams, resources, and decisions to achieve transformation outcomes.
4. Executive Reporting & Governance Provides transparency, decision support, and oversight throughout implementation.
