| Job Details | Our Vancouver area client is a provincial Crown corporation that funds supports for people 19 years or older who have a developmental disability. The client is seeking a Senior Test Engineer on a contract basis to support ongoing projects. Anticipated services include: - Working within an Agile development team to ensure the quality and reliability of business applications.
- Collaborating with solution architects, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop effective test strategies.
- Designing, developing, executing, and maintaining manual and automated test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Performing functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing.
- Identifying, documenting, tracking, and verifying software defects using defect management tools.
- Validating application functionality, APIs, databases, and integrations to ensure business and technical requirements are met.
- Working closely with developers to troubleshoot issues, verify defect fixes, and support root cause analysis.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Maintaining QA documentation, test evidence, and reports in accordance with organizational standards and established QA processes.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to testing processes, automation frameworks, and overall software quality practices.

| Must Haves | - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Diploma, Post-Graduate Certificate, or equivalent professional work experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in software quality assurance and software testing.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience testing Microsoft .NET applications.
- Experience testing applications deployed in AWS
- Experience designing and executing manual and/or automated test cases for enterprise applications.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience with SQL and database validation.
- Experience testing web-based and multi-tier applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- The services will be performed in Vancouver BC. It is expected that the work will be performed in a hybrid model with a minimum of two days per week onsite. The contractor may be required to be onsite for more than two days per week in some cases, if required.
· Experience with My Workspace or Telerik based applications. · Experience testing integrations with DocuSign and Salesforce. · Experience with AWS applications like Cloudwatch, SQS, S3. · Knowledge of performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. · Experience with API testing using Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or equivalent tools. · Experience testing service-oriented architecture (SOA), REST APIs, or microservices.
