Our Surrey area client is a leader in the support and provision of healthcare services to the British Columbia public.

The client is seeking a Technical Senior Business Analyst on a contract basis to support Clinical Ancillary Solutions activities.

 

Project Description:

Clinical Ancillary Services (CAS) is a digital enablement team supporting over 150 clinical systems across 40+ acute clinical departments. CAS partners closely with clinical programs, technical teams and external vendors to support clinical system implementation, integration, and ongoing operations across a diverse and complex healthcare environment.

CAS is seeking a highly skilled Technical Senior Business Analyst (SBA) to support a range of strategic digital and infrastructure initiatives across clinical programs.

The SBA will work closely with CAS leadership, technical teams, and external partners to facilitate the planning, assessment, and execution of complex initiatives involving application modernization, infrastructure transformation, and digital enablement.

 

Anticipated services include:

One Technical Senior Business Analyst to lead enterprise transformation initiatives impacting CAS-supported applications, advancing modern, scalable, and secure platforms that underpin clinical service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Technical Transformation & Cloud Enablement
  • Support and guide initiatives on behalf of the CAS team related to infrastructure modernization and cloud adoption, including:
    • Technical analysis of application dependencies, integrations, and hosting requirements
    • Input into migration planning, sequencing and readiness activities
    • Act as a liaison and advisor between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment on scope, requirements, and expected outcomes
    • Contribute to risk identification, impact assessment, and mitigation planning for technical changes
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including:
      • Infrastructure, network and security teams
      • Clinical portfolio representatives
      • Vendors and infrastructure delivery partners
    • Support coordination across multiple workstreams within large-scale transformation initiatives
    • Lead working sessions and stakeholder reviews to support alignment, decision-making, and issue resolution

 

  1. Business Analysis & Discovery
  • Lead and facilitate structured discovery activities with operational and technical stakeholders
  • Support application assessment and rationalization activities to inform future-state planning
  • Develop high-quality artifacts, as required, such as process and data flow diagrams, requirements documentation, application and system infrastructure diagrams

 

  1. Workforce Capability Building & Knowledge Transfer
  • Support the ongoing development of internal technical capabilities within the CAS team
  • Design and deliver regular knowledge-sharing sessions (e.g. lunch and learns) on relevant topics, such as:
    • Cloud fundamentals and key concepts
    • Application architecture
    • Integration specifications
    • Emerging technologies and best practices
    • Develop reusable materials and artifacts to support team learning and adoption

Must Haves
  • 7-10+ years of experience in business analysis or related roles within complex enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated experience supporting technical or infrastructure-related initiatives, including system transformation or modernization efforts
  • Strong understanding of application architecture concepts, integrations, and enterprise system landscapes
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams spanning business and technical domains
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and work effectively in evolving environments
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and delivery focused
Nice to Haves
  • Experience supporting cloud-based initiatives (e.g. Microsoft Azure or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with application assessment, migration planning, or infrastructure transformation projects
  • Experience in healthcare environments
  • Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or equivalent
