Our Burnaby area client is a leader in the support and provision of healthcare services to the British Columbia public.

The client is seeking a part-time Senior Project Director on a contract basis to support Regional Digital Solutions.

Project Description:

Enterprise Workforce Management (Infor WFM) project is implementing a shared, vendor-hosted workforce management platform to replace the legacy scheduling and timekeeping system (UKG ESP) and establish a modern, standardized workforce management capability across Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and Providence Health Care (PHC).

The project is business-led by People & Culture / Workforce Operations and is intended to improve workforce scheduling, time and attendance management, collective agreement compliance, and the overall manager and employee experience through a shared multi-tenant SaaS platform.

Infor WFM serves as a foundational workforce management system and a key dependency for future downstream integrations, including Workday. As such, the platform requires a high degree of operational readiness, governance, and implementation discipline to support safe workforce operations and future system integration.

Since project initiation in 2023, the implementation has experienced schedule delays, budget pressures, and delivery challenges. The program is now entering a critical phase that includes detailed parallel testing, go-live readiness activities, rollout planning, and preparation for transition to ongoing operations.

The Workforce Management program is a complex, multi-organization initiative involving VCH, PHC, and PHSA. A senior Project Director is required to provide integrated delivery leadership, strengthen governance and executive decision-making, improve financial and vendor oversight, and ensure clear accountability across participating organizations.

The Project Director will be responsible for guiding the program through implementation, go-live readiness, stabilization, and transition to a sustainable operating model. The engagement is expected to focus on bringing the program to successful completion through coordinated leadership, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and delivery oversight.

Key strategic decisions that remain outstanding and require executive alignment include:

• Go-live criteria
• Go-live approach
• Scope phasing
• Budget strategy
• Transition approach to steady-state operations

The engagement is anticipated to require approximately 2–3 days per week over an initial six-month period, with flexibility based on program requirements and delivery needs.

Anticipated services include:
